Hello, beautiful people! I hope your week so far has been great. Mine was quite hectic, but hey ho, I always say it’s better to keep busy than get bored. Plus, as the cold weather and rain have been taking over London lately, being occupied helps me stay focused and not think of staying in bed, drinking hot chocolate and watching movies all day long. I still hope the sun will come out soon so I can take out for a walk my new baby blue pointed-toe heels which I absolutely love, but more about them in a future post.
Now back to ‘Navy at night’. I really like combining different shades of blue, as I feel it gives the outfit a more interesting touch. Over the weekend I have decided to wear navy for an evening out as I just felt it matched the darkness of the night. I’ve brightened up the outfit with my Zara coat which quite matched with the lights all around. I really don’t know why I am so fascinated by the night and the lights, but they just feel magic, more alive and richly coloured than the day. And if you add the buzz of a cosmopolitan city like London, then it just keeps you going. I could never get bored and I just find the entire atmosphere very inspiring.
Since forever I have been a fan of pleated skirts, as I believe they are chic, feminine and can definitely be worn in a variety of combinations. And let’s be honest, it is a classic trend worth trying. If you decide to do so, the pleats are a key trend for Spring/Summer 2014. Designers present us with soft and feminine pleats in a variety of colours and lengths. From polka dots at Moschino and Michael Kors, fringing at Roberto Cavalli, geometrics at Valentino to lace and pastels at Isabel Marant and florals at Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Dior, each and every fashion taste can be satisfied. I can’t wait to get out there exploring all the options, get into my romantic mood and put together dreamy outfits for this spring/summer.
Wishing you all a fabulous end of the week!
