Let the shows begin! Here we are again, dying of excitement to discover the wonderful #SS15 collections presented during London Fashion Week. With all the hype about this inspirational time of the year I wanted to share with you a one cutting-edge voyage into the world of high-end fashion organised by the bespoke travel company Brown & Hudson. The company has been asked to design a truly style-focused trip for a young lady studying fashion in New York. As all the trips planned by the travel company Brown & Hudson, this one also needed to give the client the opportunity of meeting inspiring people who would enrich not only her view on travelling but also her life afterwards.
Even though Europe is bustling with fashion capitals, with Paris and Milan fighting to be number one, there are also emerging hot spots to bear in mind such as Florence and Amsterdam. To create a fabulous European odyssey to delight even the most exquisite tastes a fashionista might have required weeks of research and dedication. With the idea of designing an experience that combined both the history of European fashion and the innovators that continue to delight us with their creations in mind, 3 exquisite destinations have been chosen for this once in a lifetime breath-taking adventure. As Brown & Hudson stated, "Antwerp was their first port of call, chosen for its renowned modern approach to fashion and eclectic culture, followed by Paris – the traditional home of haute couture. Their final choice was the glamorous Côte d’Azur with its sun-drenched beaches and provocative attire."
"After flying into Belgium, a leading design blogger and TV presenter escorted the young fashionista around Antwerp’s hip boutiques and introduced her to young designers and fashion experts. A private visit to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Belgium’s leading fashion college was next on the list to equip her with the tips and tricks of the trade and advice on state-of-the-art trends, materials, colours and styles. Once in France, she headed to the headquarters of Paris’ most popular fashion magazine. Here she met leading journalists with top-secret examples of next year’s hottest trends from the top fashion houses. After meeting a buyer from one of those fashion houses, who walked her through a textile trade show at the Carrousel du Louvre, it was time to take the few short steps towards an evening of romantic glamour. After checking-in to Coco Chanel’s own suite at the Hotel Ritz, the fashionista has been chauffeured through Paris’ trendiest neighborhoods in a classic 1950s Citroën 2CV.
Although the Côte d’Azur may not be on everyone’s list of top fashion destinations on the continent, Brown & Hudson always like to challenge conventional thinking. Heading south to a tiny port town, the young lady had a front row view of the Hyeres Fashion Festival, which highlights ten hot designers from around the world, whilst sitting surrounded by previous competitors and winners – imagining where she could be in a few short years. To complete this once in a lifetime dream experience a professional photoshoot has been organised in Cannes with a top celebrity stylist and her picks of the latest trends from the boulevards of Saint-Tropez. For the ultimate finale to her unforgettable fashion voyage she had VIP access to the celebrity nightclub Les Caves du Roy."
I hope this exquisite adventure of a young fashionista will inspire you to dream big, believe in yourselves and never be afraid of showing who you are to the world. As #LFW is finally here I hope all the fashionistas out there will inspire through their outfits and also show people that everything is possible as long as you believe, work hard and never let go of your dreams. Happy Friday, everyone! xoxo
