Not long ago I had the pleasure to meet Jason Vale or better said the Juice Master. I remember first coming across his name back in January when I picked up a magazine and the 'Super Juice Me! The Big Juice Experiment' DVD. As soon as I watched the DVD I've decided to look up his books as I was curious to find out more about juicing. I decided to get his ‘5LBs in 5 Days: The Juice Detox Diet’ book and I've done the challenge twice this year.

I was surprised to see it works and you will definitely see much more significant results if you exercise while juicing. Ever since I've stopped eating meat back in November 2014 I became a lover of veggies, smoothies and fresh juices. So the idea of a week on freshly made juices sounded great. I must admit I loved some recipes much more than others but you will eventually get over the unfamiliar tastes and enjoy the programme. It was a bit painful waking up earlier in the mornings so that I have enough time to prepare the juices, however that will no longer be an inconvenient when juicing due to Jason’s new cold press juicer.

I couldn't be happier to discover the Retro Slow Juicer. It is a cold press juicer which means that all nutrients are retained, plus you will be able to make juices, blend things and even make your own almond milk at home! Jason mentioned that we will now be able to prepare the juices over the weekend and be able to freeze them while retaining nutrients. All you need to do is take the juices out of the freezer and keep them in the fridge the night before consumption.

At the pop up juicing event to celebrate the launch of Jason's Retro Slow Juicer at QVC I tried the Green Refresher juice, banana ice cream, ginger and wheatgrass shots which were absolutely delicious! And believe me that the fresh almond milk cannot be compared to the pre-packaged one. This fab juicer is surely on my wish list! Not only that it looks super pretty in the five colours it comes in (by the way there's an Union Jack design too!) but it also does an amazing job and takes up little storage space. Jason swears by it so I say it's worth giving it a try. I bet you'll love it!
